Introduction
Quirty Buddy is an invaluable tool for Pogo Qwerty players. It scans a game board, provides all possible solutions
that can be made from the letter tiles in hand, shows how they can be placed on the board, places the word tiles for you, and (if that weren't
enough) even autoplays.
Quirty Buddy is feature rich and much more intuitive than any other Qwerty solution available. It helps players build their vocabulary,
overall Qwerty skills and also serves as a reference tool as you can save your games. And it does personal ratings and ladder rankings a world of good, too!

The Interface (GUI)
Quirty Buddy has a simple layout and is easy to use. The main attraction is the miniaturized copy of the Qwerty gameboard.
This GUI will mimic the game as it progresses. The rest of the interface makes it a breeze to accomplish tasks with a click of a button.
When scan+solve is clicked, a list of words is generated which can then be filtered according to your personal wants.
Selecting a word and pressing the play button will result in that word being entered into the board. The clear
feature will do exactly that - clear the Buddy so that it's ready for a new game. And let us not forget the autoplay feature!
As the name suggests, this is where users can engage Quirty Buddy in automatic play. To view these selections in greater
detail, select the Interface link below.
Quirty Buddy also offers an arrangement of menu options: Game, Options, Rooms and Help. You can learn more about these by reading below. |

|
Menu Options
 |
The Game menu contains game tutor options. You can save your game for future reference and open them again whenever you want. |
 |
The Options menu allows you to access Quirty Buddy's dictionary editor and settings and change them to suit your needs (see below). It also offers an opportunity to refer a buddy (tell a friend) about Quirty Buddy and/or request a new feature. |
 |
The Rooms menu has one of most valuable features of Quirty Buddy. It contains backdoors to each of Pogo's Qwerty rooms. This feature lets you enter a room even if its full. Note: If the room does not load, login to any Pogo Qwerty game with your username and password first then select the desired room from the list. |
 |
The Help menu provides instructions on how to use Quirty Buddy, a link to the Play Buddy Help Center, shortcuts to buy and register your copy, and a valuable Bug Report feature to use when Quirty Buddy isn't working. But perhaps the most valuable feature here is the auto check at startup which automatically checks for any updates. |

this task a breeze! |

How To Use
- Log on to Pogo games with your username and password.
- Launch Quirty Buddy when your game opens. It automatically recognizes it and is ready to work. The interface gives users access to two
prominent elements: play hint will play the next best move when manual players get stuck, while the autoplay makes the Buddy do all of the gameplay.

Optimizing Performance
- Definitions: To get the meaning (definition) of a word in the results list, right-click on the word and click on the Definition option that pops up.
- Sorting words: Once the results list has been populated, you can sort it in the ascending or descending order of word (alphabetically), subword, or score. Just click on the relevant column heading button to sort the list. Click it again to reverse the order.
- Blank Tiles:While playing Qwerty, you occasionally draw a blank tile. The blank tile can be used to represent any letter. Quirty Buddy uses a wildcard character i.e. the Question Mark (?) to represent a blank tile. When the solve button is clicked, Quirty Buddy substitutes the ? with each letter of the alphabet and builds the results list.

HELP!
It won't recognize the game window
Double-check that you have the newest version available. Do this by using the check for update feature under the Help menu on the Buddy. Also, the "News" section at the top of this page has a link to "Updated Buddies." Here you can see if the Buddy has been recently updated and why.
Now make sure that all the system requirements for the Buddy are met. These include Windows XP or Vista, Internet Explorer, Sun Java, and appropriate display settings.
It won't work
First, go to the Help menu on the Buddy and visit the Troubleshoot page to see if your solution is there. No luck? Select the Bug Report feature under the HELP tab on the Buddy. Fill in the required fields, capture the screen, and then send it. Play Buddy Support will receive it and respond to you via e-mail.
