Introduction
Pyramids is a Solitaire style single-person card game that is easy to learn but difficult to master. Though
the game might seem simple, it requires careful planning and decision making to ensure that you don't come to a dead end.
There will be times when the assistance of a good old buddy might make the difference between a good score and a rotten one.
Pyramid Buddy is another winner from Play Buddy, that makes short work of the game and lets you rake in maximum number
of points with minimal effort. It is the convenient and effective way to achieve major scores and impress fellow players.

The Interface (GUI)
Getting to know the Pyramid Buddy interface is easy. The Game statistics keep you informed
as to how well the rounds are progressing by stating how many games have been won out of how many games have been played (and the percentage
that rounds out to). The Game watch provides a visual reference to the deck of cards as they correspond in the game itself.
The Deck conveniently illustrates the cards that remain in the deck, the cards that are exposed (tinted blue or red), and
the cards that have been played (empty spots). The interactive Show hint and Play Hint will do exactly that whereas the
Show/Hide marker will show or take away the automatic green arrows that appear on the game window indicating which move to make next.
And let us not forget the Autoplay feature! As the name suggests, this is where Pyramid Buddy can be put on auto-pilot
and play the game all by itself.
Pyramid Buddy also offers an arrangement of menu options: Options, Rooms and
Help. You can learn more about these by reading below. |

Menu Options
 |
The Options menu allows you to access Pyramid Buddy's settings and change them to suit your needs (see below). It also offers an opportunity to refer a buddy (tell a friend) about Pyramid Buddy and/or request a new feature. |
 |
The Rooms menu has one of most valuable features of Pyramid Buddy. It contains backdoors to each of Yahoo's Pyramid rooms. This feature lets you enter a room even if its full. Note: If the room does not load, login to any Yahoo Pyramid game with your username and password first then select the desired room from the list. |
 |
The Help menu provides instructions on how to use Pyramid Buddy, a link to the Play Buddy Help Center, shortcuts to buy and register your copy, and a valuable Bug Report feature to use when Pyramid Buddy isn't working. But perhaps the most valuable feature here is the auto check at startup which automatically checks for any updates. |

How To Use
- Log on to Yahoo games with your username and password.
- Launch Pyramid Buddy and use the Rooms option to quickly enter a game room OR manually enter a game room.
- When your game opens, Pyramid Buddy automatically recognizes it and is ready to work. The interface has two
prominent elements: the Game Watch area that visually represents the current game and the Deck that shows
the status of each card (whether they have been played or are still in play).
- Use the Autoplay option if you want the Buddy to handle the work. Otherwise, play manually and use the Buddy
for visual reference as to which cards are left, and/or to show or play a hint when needed.

Optimizing Performance
- Helping Hand: Manual users can have a constant helping hand by using the Marker. Want to do it on your own and get a hint
only when you want it? No problem - Hide the marker!
- Shrink / Expand: It's okay to resize your window but make sure things don't get too stretched out, otherwise the Buddy might not recognize the board.

HELP!
It won't recognize the game window
Double-check that you have the newest version available. Do this by using the check for update feature under the Help menu on the Buddy. Also, the "News" section at the top of this page has a link to "Updated Buddies." Here you can see if the Buddy has been recently updated and why.
Now make sure that all the system requirements for the Buddy are met. These include Windows XP or Vista, Internet Explorer, Sun Java, and appropriate display settings.
It won't work
First, go to the Help menu on the Buddy and visit the Troubleshoot page to see if your solution is there. No luck? Select the Bug Report feature under the HELP tab on the Buddy. Fill in the required fields, capture the screen, and then send it. Play Buddy Support will receive it and respond to you via e-mail.
