The Interface (GUI)
If you're familiar with Play Buddy's products then you're already aware that getting to know the Hangman Buddy interface is easy.
The prominent feature is the Display area that provides a visual reference to what's happening on the game itself. This is also where
you'll be shown hints and where you can access the interactive word list (right-click on a word in the list and you can get the definition or delete it from the internal dictionary).
Next is the Stats area where you can always be informed as to the number of games played,
the best (most amount) of tokens earned in 1 game, and the total tokens earned. Now on to the interactive buttons...
The Autoplay button will begin the autoplay and can be stopped at any time.
Similarly, the GUI can be collapsed or Expanded at any time. The Show hint and Play Hint buttons will do exactly that.
Hangman Buddy also lists a few menu options:

Menu Options

The Options allows you to access Hangman Buddy's settings and change them to suit your needs (see below). It also offers an opportunity to refer a buddy (tell a friend) about Hangman Buddy and/or request a new feature. |

The Rooms menu has one of most valuable features of Hangman Buddy. It contains backdoors links to each of Pogo's Hangman Hijinks room topics. |

The Help menu provides instructions on how to use Hangman Buddy, a link to the Play Buddy Help Center, shortcuts to buy and register your copy, and a valuable Troubleshoot and Bug Report feature to use when Hangman Buddy isn't working. But perhaps the most valuable feature here is the auto check at startup which automatically checks for any updates. |

| Always on top |
Keeps Hangman Buddy on top of all windows all the time. |

Sends the Buddy to the tray (instead of the taskbar) when the minimize button is pressed. |

The Dictionary Editor
|
The Dictionary Editor lets users do a search for
a specific word. It also lists all the words in a convenient searchable format by providing a scrollable list. If a
new word needs to be added or a specific word deleted, this is the place to do it. Press the change button at the top to use your own dictionary. Otherwise press done after any changes are made. |

How To Use
- Log on to Pogo games with your username and password, or select a room topic from Hangman Buddy's Rooms menu.
- If you haven't already done so, launch Hangman Buddy when your game opens. It automatically recognizes it and is ready to work.
- Manual players can use the play hint and show hint options.
- Autoplayers need only press the autoplay button to have Hangman Buddy complete the games automatically.

Optimizing Performance
- Keep Off! Remember to keep the Buddy completely off of the game window so that it can play optimally.
- Unnecessary words: Noticing words that Pogo doesn't accept, or that you don't want in your dictionary? No problem: right-click on them when they appear in the word list and delete them OR choose "Load Dictionary" in the Buddy's options and "Remove" as many words as you desire.

HELP!
It won't recognize the game window
Double-check that you have the newest version available. Do this by using the check for update feature under the Help menu on the Buddy. Also, the "News" section at the top of this page has a link to "Updated Buddies." Here you can see if the Buddy has been recently updated and why.
Now make sure that all the system requirements for the Buddy are met. These include Windows, Internet Explorer, and appropriate display settings.
It won't work
Select the Bug Report feature under the HELP tab on the Buddy. Fill in the required fields, capture the screen, and then send it. Play Buddy Support will receive it and respond to you via e-mail.

Registering your software
Hangman Buddy is trialware and it cannot be used once the seven day trial period has expired. To avoid losing a great buddy, buy your copy by using the Buy Now option in the HELP menu. If you have already purchased and need help registering, please click here.
