Introduction
Bookworm is a intellectual word game
that requires a great vocabulary
and decent puzzle solving skills. Why try to worm around
letters in an effort to make words
when you can have a friend do it for
you?
Rake in those points and become a
Bookworm champion with Bookworm Buddy, the silent but
efficient tool that solves even the most
complex sequence of letters in an
instant.
Entering the words into the game is a
cinch. All it takes is a simple double click
on the word (in the Bookworm Buddy list) and it
is automatically entered for you.

The Interface (GUI)
Bookworm Buddy has a simple layout and is easy to use. The interface makes it a breeze to accomplish
tasks with a click of a button. When scan+solve is clicked, the main console provides the list of words needed
to complete the current Bookworm round. The collapse feature will do exactly that - collapse the Buddy so that only the buttons remain visible.
And let us not forget the autoplay feature! As the button suggests, this is where users can engage Bookworm Buddy in automatic play.
Finally there are the interactive show hint and play hint buttons which are useful options for manual players.

Menu Options

The Options menu allows you to access Bookworm Buddy's settings and change them to suit your needs (see below). It also offers an opportunity to refer a buddy (tell a friend) about Bookworm Buddy and/or request a new feature. |

The Rooms menu has one of most valuable features of Bookworm Buddy. It contains backdoors to each of Yahoo's Bookworm rooms. This feature lets you enter a room even if its full. Note: If the room does not load, login to any Yahoo Bookworm game with your username and password first then select the desired room from the list. |

The Help menu provides instructions on how to use Bookworm Buddy, a link to the Play Buddy Help Center, shortcuts to buy and register your copy, and a valuable Bug Report feature to use when Bookworm Buddy isn't working. But perhaps the most valuable feature here is the auto check at startup which automatically checks for any updates. |

The Dictionary Editor
|
The Dictionary Editor lets users do a Quick search for
a specific word. It also lists all the words in a
convenient searchable format. If a
new word needs to be added or a specific word deleted, the dictionary editor makes
this task a breeze! |

How To Use
- Log on to Yahoo games with your username and password.
- Launch Bookworm Buddy when your game opens. It automatically recognizes it and is ready to work. The interface gives users access to two
prominent elements: play hint will play the next best move when manual players get stuck, while the autoplay makes the Buddy do all of the gameplay.

Optimizing Performance
- Speed and Efficiency: To complete rounds quickly and efficiently, use the autoplay feature.
- Hints: Manual players who want constant hints can uncheckmark "Show single hint" in options.

HELP!
It won't recognize the game window
Double-check that you have the newest version available. Do this by using the check for update feature under the Help menu on the Buddy. Also, the "News" section at the top of this page has a link to "Updated Buddies." Here you can see if the Buddy has been recently updated and why.
Now make sure that all the system requirements for the Buddy are met. These include Windows XP or Vista, Internet Explorer, Sun Java, and appropriate display settings.
It won't work
First, go to the Help menu on the Buddy and visit the Troubleshoot page to see if your solution is there. No luck? Select the Bug Report feature under the HELP tab on the Buddy. Fill in the required fields, capture the screen, and then send it. Play Buddy Support will receive it and respond to you via e-mail.

Registering your software
Bookworm Buddy is trialware and it cannot be used once the seven day trial period has expired. To avoid losing a great buddy, buy your copy by using the Buy Now option in the HELP menu or use the link given below. If you have already purchased and need help registering, please click here.
