HOW DO I CHANGE MY DISPLAY SETTINGS?

NOTE: Vista windows will look different.
1. Right-click your mouse on the desktop.
2. This menu will appear - select "Properties" (XP) or Personalize (Vista). The Display Properties window will appear, as seen below.

Vista users please scroll down to last picture
1. Now XP users, choose the "Appearance" tab.
2. The "Windows and buttons" option should have "Windows XP Style" selected. The "Color scheme" option should have "Default (blue)" selected. The "Font size" option should be "Normal." 3. If you made any changes, press the "Apply"
button.
4. Now click on the Advanced button.

As seen here:

1. Scroll down the "Item" list and select "Active
Title Bar".
The size should be 25. The colors are your choice.
2. The "Font" should be "Trebuchet MS" and the size 10. The color is your choice.
3. Now press the OK button.

1. Select the "Settings" tab (XP) or the Display Settings link (Vista). As illustrated in the picture:

2. Your "Color Quality" should be at 32 (you don't want to go lower than 24).
3. Your "Screen resolution" should be approximately 1152x864 but can be altered slightly depending upon personal preference and the size of your monitor. Bottom line: 800x600 is TOO SMALL; your windows, text, and desktop icons should NOT BE TOO BIG! If the text in your windows or desktop icons are questionably distorted or oversized, you need to minimize your resolution.

4. Now choose the "Apply" button and then 5. "OK"
